Sub-Regional Basin Basics

The results of this research are primarily presented as the statistical tables and maps of individual subregional watersheds, the basic unit of the study.  This detailed information is too involved to list on this web page, so we’ve created some very lengthy tables in PDF format are available via the links below.

In all cases, the data is compiled for each sub-regional basin by BASIN NUMBER. You must know the basin number you are looking for. You can find your basin number by:

  • Sub-regional basin number and name*
  • Regional basin name
  • Major basin name
  • Area in acreage and square miles
  • Sub-regional basin unique ID

In Adobe reader, you can turn layers in the pdf on and off using the layers tab on the left side.

For reference, we also have a list of
Table IconDownload in Excel Format Sub-regional Basin Names Sorted by Sub-regional Basin Number

  • Sub-regional basin number and name*
  • Regional basin name
  • Major basin name
  • Area in acreage and square miles
  • Sub-regional basin unique ID

* Basins are numbered in a nesting fashion. The first of the four digits represents the Major Basin Number. The second digit represents the Regional Basin and the last two digits represent the Sub-regional Basin.

For each sub-regional basin and each of the 100ft, 200ft and 300ft buffer zones

  • Acres outside of the buffer and water area
  • Buffer area
  • Percent of basin cover by the buffer zone
  • Percent of basin covered by the buffer zone and water
